How to prepare your new goalkeeper gloves...

Can't wait to try out your new goalkeeper gloves? Understandably so! To ensure they deliver their full grip right from the start, you should prepare them properly before your first use.

1. Unpack gloves & remove protective film

Many new goalkeeper gloves have a thin protective film on the palm. Carefully peel this off—preferably slowly and evenly to avoid damaging the adhesive foam.

2. First wash – a must!

Before wearing your gloves for the first time, wash them thoroughly with lukewarm water (without soap or detergent). This will remove any manufacturing residue and activate the adhesive foam.

👉 Tip: Let the gloves air dry at room temperature – never on the heater or in direct sunlight!

3. Just before the game: Moisten

Lightly moisten your gloves shortly before use to maximize grip—especially important in dry weather or on artificial turf.

💡 Extra tip from the pro: Regular washing and proper care will significantly extend the lifespan of your gloves. Rinse with clean water after each use and let them air dry!
