The vision for our first goalkeeper camp on Mallorca was clear - an international field of participants, an international team of coaches and top training conditions in an environment where others go on vacation. Our expectations were exceeded!
A goalkeeper camp under different conditions
Goalkeeper training in Mallorca in July faces a number of challenges. There is in particular the great heat that is worth mentioning. Already on July 25 at 08:30 in the morning it was around 35 degrees. Not all participants were used to these conditions. Because in addition to local Spanish goalkeepers from Palma and the Spanish mainland, goalkeepers from England, Ireland, Sweden and Germany also came! It was therefore trained for 5 days, from 09:00 to 13:00, to escape the heat.
Top-maintained artificial turf
We made guest appearances on the well-maintained artificial turf facility in Son Ferrer. The small town is located between Palmanova and Santa Ponca and was therefore an excellent camp location.
International Team of Coaches
Once again we were able to come up with a particularly international team of coaches. In addition to the German top coaches Patrick Schuch from Frankfurt and Max Kamleiter from Nuremberg, we were also able to welcome the Spanish top coaches Pablo Roca, Pau Segui and Pau Pericas to the camp for the first time. The German and British participants in particular had the opportunity to get to know the Spanish mentality of goalkeeper training.
